The Mooresville Christmas Light Tour is a volunteer-led event. All funds raised from sponsorships and voting pay for minimal event expenses, and the rest are donated to nonprofits in our community chosen by the event committee. In 2022, proceed benefit six Mooresville elementary school Parent Teacher Organizations.
After our event expenses – things like our website fees, yard signs, advertising and prizes – we will donate the profits of the 2022 Mooresville Christmas Light Tour to benefit our Mooresville elementary schools. Funds will go to Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation Parent/Teacher Organizations (PTOs) at Newby, Neil Armstrong, North Madison, Northwood, and Waverly elementary schools, as well as the Parent/Teacher Fellowship (PTF) at Mooresville Christian Academy.

The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) of Neil Armstrong Elementary is an organization dedicated to making educational programs, software, book, and many other learning materials available for children at our school. PTO also provides the funding incentive field trips throughout the year. Proceeds from our fundraisers also provide educational aids that help children succeed in the classroom. In the past, the PTO has provided Neil Armstrong with new basketball goals, new playground equipment, a better sound system, landscaping and fun and education convocations, and more.

The North Madison PTO’s number one goal is to provide help for the students of North Madison and ensure elementary years are filled with lasting memories, while supporting teachers and helping them succeed. The PTO provides class treats for parties, purchases playground equipment and recess carts, water bottle filling stations and more. The PTO proudly spoils its teachers, especially during “teacher appreciation week.” The group just completed its largest fundraiser to add concrete pathways to the playground so children can easily access all playsets. North Madison PTO strives to assist the school with any needs outside of the normal budget.
The Waverly Elementary PTO supports students, teachers, staff and families at Waverly Elementary School. We provide reading and math incentives, teacher and staff allotments for supplies and projects, playground equipment and more. We are pleased to organize teacher appreciation days, family events and fundraisers. Our largest yearly fundraiser is the Holiday Fair & Breakfast with Santa each November.
