Please note, registration is closed for 2022. Please read below for details and plan to join us next year - we will open registration for Tour Stops in October of 2023! 


What do tour homeowners and business owners do? 

First, register as a Tour Stop here on our website by Nov. 11, 2022. Next, Tour Stops decorate the exterior of your home or business with Christmas lights and decorations. Go all out with as many lights as possible! Think "Clark Griswold"! Please light your home or business nightly at dark until 10 p.m., from December 2 to 31, 2022. We will place a yard sign at your property near the street, which will include your text-to-vote code. Last, encourage your family and friends to vote for your Stop!


Is there a cost to be a Tour Stop? 

New in 2022, there is a $10 registration fee to be a Tour Stop, payable using your text-to-vote code from Nov. 25-Dec. 2. We will email participants with instructions on how to make this payment by Nov. 25. 


Who will see my Tour Stop? 

We will put your address on our printed and digital event map distributed publicly. (We don't list homeowner or business names on the map.) Anyone can find your Stop on the map and drive by to view your home or business. We ask that individuals not park in any driveways of our tour homes, but if you have street parking, someone may briefly park to view your home. 


Is there a prize for best decorated stop? 

Yes! Every home has a unique text-to-vote code. Individuals will text the code, and submit a donation of $2 or more to vote for their favorite home(s). Votes will be counted from Dec. 2 to 31, 2022. This year we will have a first ($250), second ($150) and third place winner ($50). Winners will be notified in January 2023. 


Where does the vote money go? 

We are a volunteer-led event to benefit charities serving Mooresville, Indiana and surrounding areas. All funds raised from our event after expenses will be distributed to our chosen local nonprofits - in 2022, the five PTOs of Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation elementary schools, and the PTF at Mooresville Christian Academy. The vote funds go directly into an account at the Community Foundation of Morgan County - also a nonprofit - to keep our transactions transparent. 


Will my address qualify if I live outside downtown Mooresville, IN? 

You qualify to participate in this event if your address is in Morgan County and it is part of Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation's service area (you do not need to have a student in school to participate). This includes Mooresville, some Camby addresses (including the southern part of Heartland Crossing) and some Martinsville addresses (Waverly area).
