The Mooresville Lights Tour is kicking off the holiday season in style with an exciting Kick-Off Fundraiser Party at Chicago’s Pizza in Mooresville on Saturday, November 30th, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This special event will set the tone for the 2024 Mooresville Lights Tour, which runs throughout December, and serves as a fun way for the community to come together and support the event’s mission of spreading holiday cheer while giving back to local charity Churches in Mission.

What to Expect:
The fundraiser party at Chicago’s Pizza promises to be a festive celebration filled with holiday magic, delicious food, and activities for the whole family. The venue will be beautifully decorated to reflect the spirit of the season, with cheerful lights, festive ornaments, and holiday music filling the air. The highlight of the day will be a special visit from Santa Claus, who will make a grand entrance, escorted by local first responders. Santa will be available for photos and to hear holiday wishes from children throughout the event.
Local choir students from Newby and Waverly will perform traditional carols and holiday songs, adding to the joyous atmosphere. Their performances will be staggered throughout the event, allowing attendees to enjoy live music as they arrive for the event.
Tour Stop Sign Pick-Up:
The party also serves as the official sign pick-up event for all 2024 Mooresville Christmas Light Tour participants. Homeowners and businesses who have registered as tour stops can pick up their “Official Tour Stop” yard signs, which help guide visitors along the tour route. This will be a great opportunity for participants to meet other decorators, exchange ideas, and build anticipation for the tour’s launch.

Food, Fun, and Fundraising:
Guests are encouraged to bring their families and make a day of it! Chicago’s Pizza will offer its full menu, including mouth-watering pizzas, pastas, and salads, with plenty of options for every palate. By dining in or ordering carry-out from Chicago’s Pizza, attendees will directly contribute to the success of the light tour and help a local charity that serves families in need during the holiday season. Chicago’s Pizza will donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to the Mooresville Lights, which will ultimately support Churches in Mission. When checking out and paying, attendees should mention that they are dining there for the Mooresville Lights event to ensure their meal is counted toward the fundraising efforts.
In addition, specialty drink and dessert carts will be stationed outside the restaurant, offering seasonal treats like hot cocoa, festive pastries, and other goodies that are perfect for the occasion.
